Enterprise User Management 5.0

Define the rules, define the groups, Enterprise User Management does the rest.™

Product Overview

The Enterprise User Management system automates the entire lifecycle of users. It helps companies drive user management, process management and device access management to potentially all corporate applications and resources from one central system.  Enterprise User Management does this while enabling single sign-on, integration with LDAP and proprietary directories, administration control delegation for specific systems and enforcement of full featured policy management and auditing.

The Enterprise User Management features several ground breaking concepts which together make it more powerful and useful than any other user management system available:

Unique User Identity for Internal and External Users
The Enterprise User Management system introduces an enterprise wide unique ID for internal and external users and delivers an enterprise wide single logon.

Entire User Lifecycle Automation
With the Corporate Central SaaS Portal and Enterprise User Management, the entire life cycle of a user is automated and integrated with any number of web and non-web applications and their associated permissions. The lifecycle of a user begins when the system automatically creates the user account and moves on to provisioning the user to different backend systems, including giving the user the corresponding access rights based on the user’s profile. The user and access management lifecycle ends when a user no longer holds any active roles with the company and thus all of the user’s accounts must be locked or de-provisioned.

Enterprise Resource Management
Enterprise User Management allows administrators to dynamically define the systems and resources that they want to integrate and protect. The Enterprise User management system’s web based user interface allows defining the attributes for each protected system (i.e. name, category and purpose) as well as the different permissions levels that the integrated system supports (i.e. Read, Editor, Power User, Administrator etc.). Resources and their associated supported permissions levels can be easily defined, and permissions can immediately be granted to users and groups based on these definitions.

Authentication Service Single Sign-On
The Enterprise User Management Authentication Service authenticates and controls access to corporate resources for internal and external uses including Employees, Customers, Prospects, Partners, Vendors, etc. The Authentication Service offers several mechanisms to allow users, processes and devices to authenticate.

To authenticate, the Requestor (i.e. Logon Page) provides the necessary Credentials (i.e. Username and Password) and Resource Identification information, to the Authentication Service via an Authentication Channel (i.e. Secure Sockets Layer). In a successful authentication, the Authentication Service returns an array of one or more effective Rights or Permissions that the requestor has to the resource.

Self Defining and Self Managing Groups

The Enterprise User Management system fully automates the process of creating and managing groups, including creating new groups when they are needed, continuously updating group membership, and de-commissioning a group once it is no longer current. As users are hired, change roles or retire – they are automatically assigned to the appropriate role based groups. An administrator assigns permission to the groups without having to spend time on group creation/deletion and group membership management.

Simultaneous User and Group Permissions Management
Most user management systems require administrators to run a report in order to evaluate the effective permissions that a user has on a resource based on the direct permissions granted to the user combined with group membership and group based permissions. The Enterprise User Management system makes it easy to manage user and group permissions simultaneously. The system allows the administrator to view and modify both user and group level permissions settings simultaneously, without having to go back and without the need to run reports to check which group applies to the resource.

Policy Management
The Enterprise User Management implements powerful full featured policy management including sophisticated options for password, security, monitoring, policing, auditing, logging and reporting.

Logging, Auditing and Reporting
Enterprise User Management logs audit trail records the date, time and IP addresses of user logon requests, successful and failed logon requests, password changes, resources accessed, account lockouts and more. The built in reporting facility includes sophisticated reporting on many combinations of parameters including user and group attributes, resources and permissions.

Tracker TRM™ Integration
When Enterprise User Management is integrated with the Tracker Total Relationship Management TRM™ system, every person (contact) that is defined in Tracker TRM™ becomes a potential user, and each relationship defined in Tracker TRM™ becomes a potential group in the Enterprise User Management system.
