The Unified Enterprise Suite™ lights up at PG&E

Solution: Tracker TRM™ , Enterprise User Management and Corporate Central Web Portal.

PG&E has been using Software Progressions Corporation’s services since 1997 to build, enhance and support it’s custom Microsoft Exchange forms based relationship management solution. This was part of PG&E’s overall strategy of relying on Exchange and Outlook to deliver many of its applications.

In early 2006, PG&E decided to shift to a web based strategy and go with Tracker TRM™ 4.0, Enterprise User Management and Corporate Central SaaS Portal. The Unified Enterprise Suite™ was chosen over salesforce.com due to it’s superior Total Relationship Management capabilities, which are not limited to handling sales only, as well as the suite’s integrated corporate wide enterprise user management and “amazing” portal.

PG&E  IT saw an enormous value in having one system that can be used to manage any and all types of relationships:

Tracker TRM™ virtual environments currently implemented by PG&E include customer support relationship management, vendor / contractor relationship management, government relationship management, investor relationship management and help desk.

Tracker TRM™ was the only solution capable of running multiple virtual environments with user and groups configured to see only the records that they need. Combined with Enterprise Use Management and Corporate Central SaaS Portal, it was a winning platform for PG&E with inherent capabilities that will last for a very long time.

The solution which went live on 11/2/2006 included the conversion of PG&E’s Microsoft Exchange based data to The Unified Enterprise Database™, installation of Tracker TRM™, Enterprise User Management, Corporate Central Web Portal™, and ongoing support.

Software Progressions Corporation and PG&E are currently working on web enabling additional Exchange based applications and integrating them with Enterprise User Management and Corporate Central Web Portal. This work is expected to continue through 2008.
