Nisim Heletz, Director of Software Development said today in a statement:
"Having worked with business managers for over two decades, we know that this is the one product they have all been wishing for. This is a major new product for us which we are extremely proud of. There is nothing like this in the market place and we just spent the past several months making sure that it works well on Windows Azure as well as traditional IIS deployments.
We designed the WAG™ Web Application Generator to provide business managers with a powerful but easy to use tool to quickly translate their business requirements, specifications and business knowledge into advanced web applications without requiring web application or database programming experience.
For this purpose, the WAG™ Web Application Generator provides a web based visual Design Mode interface that business managers can use to create advanced web applications that can include elaborate user interfaces which are data oriented and workflow driven.
WAG's web based User Mode Interface lets business users work with WAG applications via most major browsers and mobile devices on and off site as well as on the go.
WAG dramatically reduces the web application development lifecycle:
With the WAG web based visual Design Mode interface, designing user interfaces and incorporating data from your existing databases is a snap and all database elements that are necessary for your visually designed web application are automatically created and managed for you based on the user interfaces that you create.
Using WAG, simple data storage and viewing applications can be created within the hour, and highly advanced custom business applications with workflow can be created within a few days.
Although WAG is a simple to use tool, it includes integrated support for C# and VB.NET code events behind controls, and it has built-in integration with web services so that you can call web methods and access data through web services.
WAG™ Web Application Generator can be deployed on Windows Azure and SQL Azure cloud environments as well as traditional MS IIS and MS SQL Server environments, or a combination.
With either deployment method, your WAG applications can seamlessly access your corporate data behind firewalls using the WAG Data Web Service™. For example, your WAG application hosted on Windows Azure can access databases in your corporate network or even partner and data provider databases. This makes the physical location of the data transparent.
We designed WAG to be mobile and versatile, and so the WAG applications that you design are available to users via most common browsers on their desktops as well as via their mobile devices. In User Mode, supported desktop browsers include Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Chrome. Support for mobile devices currently includes devices such as iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile devices, Nokia, Google Phones and 'generic' browser phones. These all automatically receive a custom version of the web pages in the application that you design which are based on the capabilities of each mobile device type.
Authentication of users to WAG is provided via our Enterprise User Management System which serves as the default authentication mechanism. It allows manual entry of user accounts and permissions as well as continuous synchronization of user accounts and profile information from your corporate database or other sources and includes advanced automated role based permissions and authorization. You can also implement many other available methods of authentication and authorization including Windows Active Directory integrated authentication.
The cloud version of WAG comes included with a free virtual environment of our Tracker Total Relationship Management system, which allows you to manually enter and/or continuously synchronize Company, Contact and Activity information from your various data sources to create a single location for this information. Tracker Total Relationship Management information is then available to your WAG web applications so that you can design screens that fetch lists of Company and Contact names, addresses, phone numbers etc. without need for duplication or re-entry. Tracker even supports synchronization of contacts and calendars to your MS Exchange mailbox accounts for viewing via MS Outlook.
Finally, WAG is seamlessly integrated with our Corporate Central SaaS Portal, which handles the issue of application delivery as a service and user access to multiple WAG applications. It provides a single web site where users logon once and then gain role based access to all their current WAG web applications as well as optionally other web applications and resources all in a single web page."
