Company and Contact Roles
With Tracker 5.0, Enterprise Edition TRM™, each company and contact can participate in multiple roles. For example a company that is a Customer for one product may be a Prospect for another product. When working with a Company or Contact that has multiple roles, Tracker allows users to view the information for all the roles at once, or the user can narrow down to work with a specific role of a company or contact.
Company and Contact records and their specific roles are available to a Tracker users based on their permissions. This means that each Tracker user will have access only to certain types of records and in certain virtual environments.
For instance: a Customer Service help desk person may only be able to access ‘Support Issue’ type activities, while a Sales Person may see ‘Support Issue’ activities as well as ‘Opportunity’, ‘Order’ and ‘Complaint’ type activities for the same company or contact.
